Frequently Asked Questions
Before you decide to work with us, you will certainly have a few questions about our offer, the way we work and important deadlines. You will find answers to the most common ones below. If anything is missing, feel free to write or call us. We will be happy to clear up any doubts and learn about your expectations so that we can plan an unforgettable party together.
What does the booking process look like?
It is best to start booking by phone or e-mail – we will check the availability of your chosen date and talk about your expectations. The date is guaranteed once the contract is signed and the deposit paid. Popular dates, especially summer Saturdays, are worth booking well in advance – even a year or more ahead.
Do you offer music for the wedding ceremony?
Yes. We provide music for church, civil and outdoor ceremonies – from welcoming the guests and the couple's entrance to special moments such as the vows or the exchange of rings. We choose the music individually to suit the character of the ceremony and the place where it is held.
What is the difference between a DJ and an MC, and do you combine both roles?
The DJ is responsible for the music and sound, while the MC runs the party, looks after the atmosphere and coordinates the evening – thanks to the parents, dances and contests. At Matt Remay Group we combine both roles in one person, so the party has a consistent rhythm and you don't have to arrange anything separately with two different people.
Do you offer live musicians?
Can we prepare our own list of hits and make music requests?
Of course – before the party we agree on a base playlist together, including your favourite songs and genres you would rather avoid. During the wedding, guests can also make requests, and we make sure the music always matches the atmosphere on the dance floor.
What sound and lighting equipment do you have?
We use professional sound and lighting equipment matched to the size of the venue and the number of guests, so the sound is clear everywhere on the dance floor. On request, we also provide stage lighting, light effects and sound for the ceremony.
How long does the party last, and is there a limit on playing hours?
As standard, we play for the entire wedding – from the first dance until the end of the party, usually around 6–8 hours. The exact duration and any extension are agreed individually, depending on your needs and the venue's rules.
Do you travel outside Kraków?
Yes. Although we mainly work in Kraków and Lesser Poland, we play weddings and events all over Poland. The travel cost is agreed individually, depending on the distance and the location of the venue.
What about the contract and the deposit?
Every booking is confirmed with a written contract that clearly sets out the scope of services, the price and the terms. We reserve the date once the deposit is paid – its amount and the schedule of the remaining payments are agreed individually when signing the contract.
What additional attractions can you provide at a wedding?
In addition to music, we offer attractions that make the evening even better – including heavy smoke for the first dance, a photo booth, laser shows and decorative lighting of the venue. We tailor each of them to the character and atmosphere of your wedding.
Do you also cover corporate events?
Yes – in addition to weddings, we provide music for corporate events: conferences, galas, team-building parties and company anniversaries. We tailor the scope of services (DJ, live musicians, sound, lighting) to the character of the event and the business client's expectations.
How can we contact you and arrange a meeting?
The easiest way is to call +48 608 591 907 or write via the contact form on the website. We will be happy to arrange a conversation – in person or online – to learn about your expectations and present our offer.
Do you play continuously throughout the party, or are there breaks?
Yes, we keep the music going continuously throughout the whole event, except for moments that call for quiet — such as speeches or toasts — when we lower the volume or take a short pause at the couple's request.
How long does it take to set up and take down the equipment?
Setting up the sound and lighting equipment usually takes 1.5–2 hours, and we do it before the event starts so it does not interfere with the venue preparations. Taking it down afterwards takes about an hour.
Can we see you perform live before booking, or watch recordings from other weddings?
Yes — we are happy to share recordings and photos from previous events, and where possible we can also put you in touch with couples we have worked with before. It is a great way to get a feel for our style before making a decision.
What happens if the DJ gets sick or cannot make it to the wedding?
For unforeseen situations, we have trusted, experienced substitutes from within our own group of artists, so your event will always go ahead as planned, with the same level of quality.
Do you also play at the after-party (poprawiny) or two-day weddings?
Yes, we also provide music for after-parties and two-day weddings. We arrange this individually, both in terms of scope of services and pricing.
Do you offer combined packages, e.g. DJ plus live musician plus attractions, at a better price?
Yes, we put together individual packages combining a DJ, live musicians and additional wedding attractions — bundling services together is usually more cost-effective than booking them separately. We work out the details together, tailored to your needs.
