Wedding music

Wedding music that gets every guest dancing

Good wedding music is more than a list of hits. It is knowing when to play something calm during dinner, when to get the whole room on the dance floor and when to play the song grandma is waiting for. For 16 years we have played weddings in Kraków, across Lesser Poland and all over Poland - more than 1,900 events have taught us to read the dance floor better than any playlist.

We agree the repertoire with you before the wedding: the songs that must be played and the ones you do not want. At the venue the DJ combines your wishes with the guests' reactions, and the MC runs the evening so that nobody sits bored at the table. If you like, we add a live musician - saxophone for the dance-floor hits or violin for the first dance.

  • Music chosen for you: from classics and Polish hits to the latest chart songs
  • Your 'must play' and 'do not play' lists - we respect both
  • DJ, MC and live musicians from one team, one contract
  • Our own sound system and lighting suited to the venue

Music plan for the wedding day

Music for every moment of the wedding

Every part of the day has a different mood. We plan the music in stages, so guests enjoy themselves from the moment they enter the venue until the last song.

01

Ceremony

Violin, saxophone, vocals or cello in church, at the registry office or outdoors. More: wedding ceremony music.

02

Welcome and entrance

A song for your entrance, the traditional bread and salt welcome and the first toast. Music that sets the mood right away.

03

Lunch and dinner

Relaxed background music - jazz, lounge, ballads - quiet enough for guests to talk.

04

First dance

Your song, in the original version or played live. Plus heavy smoke and matching lighting.

05

Dance floor

Dance sets for your guests: Polish hits, the 80s and 90s, rock and roll and current hits. The DJ reads the dance floor as it happens.

06

Cake and thank-yous

Music for the cake entrance and for thanking your parents - moments everyone will remember.

07

Oczepiny and games

The MC leads the oczepiny and games with the guests. If you do not want oczepiny, we will prepare other attractions.

08

After midnight

Club music, the biggest hits of the night and guest requests. You choose the last song.

Wedding repertoire

What music for a wedding? From classics to the latest hits

Three generations dance at a wedding, so the repertoire mixes different styles. We set the proportions with you – and adjust them live to what’s happening on the dance floor.

01

Polish wedding hits

Songs every guest knows – from Polish pop classics to hits the whole room sings along to.

02

The 70s, 80s and 90s

Disco, pop and dance from those decades are a sure bet on the dance floor – especially for parents and uncles who rarely leave it.

03

Rock and roll & twist

Energetic sets that bring generations together. They sound even better with live saxophone.

04

Current hits and club sounds

The latest chart hits and club music for younger guests – usually after midnight, when the dance floor wants stronger beats.

05

Ballads and slow songs

The first dance, the dance with parents, slow songs for couples. Music that brings a quiet, moving moment.

06

A wedding without disco polo? Or with it?

It’s your call. We’ll play a wedding without disco polo, or with a set for fans of the genre. More: a wedding without disco polo.

Your playlist

How we plan the music for your wedding

The best playlist is made with you, and it ends on the dance floor.

Before the wedding we talk about you and your guests: who is coming, what age the guests are, whether there will be guests from abroad, and which songs you associate with important moments. Based on that, we put together the evening’s music plan.

  • The ‘must play’ list: your first dance, entrance song, favourite tracks
  • The ‘don’t play’ list: these you definitely won’t hear
  • Guest requests – we take them if they fit the mood and your list
  • A schedule coordinated with the venue, photographer and videographer

Wedding Music – How to Choose Your Musical Lineup

DJ or Band for a Wedding?

A band plays live, but has a limited repertoire and takes breaks. A DJ will play any song in its original sound and adjust the music to the guests in seconds. The best of both worlds is a DJ with a live musician – saxophone, violin or vocals. We write more about this in the article DJ or Live Band.

How to Choose Music for Your Wedding Guests

Start with your guest list. If there will be a lot of older guests, plan more Polish hits and music from the 70s–90s. With a younger crowd, leave more room for current hits and club music. A good DJ reads the dance floor live anyway and adjusts the plan as needed.

Sound and lighting

Wedding music only sounds good on good equipment. We bring our own sound system matched to the size of the hall, plus dance-floor lighting. Equipment details are on the page stage technique.

Wedding Music in Kraków and the Surrounding Area

We regularly play at Hotel Stary, Sheraton Grand Kraków, Zinar Castle, Villa Love, Dworzyszcze Wola, the manor house in Tomaszowice, Crystal Palace and Pałac Goetz. We know the acoustics of these venues and where to set up the equipment. We also travel to weddings across Poland – see where we work.

When to Book Your Wedding Music?

For Saturdays in season (May–September) it's best 12–18 months ahead. If you want a DJ with a live musician, book both dates at once – musicians have their own calendars. Also remember the music-performance fee: how to pay ZAiKS for your wedding.

An absolutely unforgettable day!

05.06.2025

Honestly we have nothing but good things to say about MattRemay Group, they have organised and managed our whole musical setting in the most amazing manner. It was absolutely beautiful. From Magda starting of the day with the violin for our ceremony to keeping us and our guests entertained throughout the cocktail hour, it was just magical. We will never forget our ceremony!

Mateusz was an absolutely fabulous DJ, he knew how to set the right atmosphere throughout dinner and right to the party! The music was incredible and all the guests were dancing until their feet hurt, all and any requests were immediately played which we really appreciated. Damian was absolutely amazing on the lights, it felt so retro and fit the overall feel of the venue very well.

Lastly we had Jano, he was absolutely amazing on the saxophone, bringing the energy and the vibes. The way he delivered the Infinity song was just absolutely amazing and a memory we will have for the rest of our lives. Our little surprise to our guests and it went absolutely amazing!

Thank you so so much and we highly recommend MattRemay Group!
