We offer special effects using a professional heavy smoke machine, available in Krakow and throughout the country. Magical Dance in the clouds, in a thick fog hanging just above the dance floor, will give you self-confidence, hide mistakes in the steps of less experienced dancers, and guests will only see a beautiful, happy couple during their First Dance. I offer you the rental of a professional heavy smoke generator for weddings. Thick clouds of smoke hang just above the ground, giving the effect as if the bride and groom were dancing in the clouds. The effect visible in the photos looks perfect in real life.
Advantages of our heavy smoke:
- We use only professional equipment, the so-called heavy smoke generator, from the renowned Chauvet Nimbus brand (Chauvet Nimbus Smoke Machine).
- The smoke is not real smoke! It is dry ice - this means no noticeable smell or for those who are particularly sensitive: the noticeable smell will be completely neutral. There is also no risk of activating fire alarms.
- Don't worry: the fog, commonly referred to as "smoke", will disappear without a trace immediately after the First Dance.
- We rent out our heavy smoke machine on very attractive terms.
- We use our smoke production machine not only in Krakow but also throughout Poland.
How it works
How does dry ice heavy smoke work?
The “dancing on clouds” effect is created in a machine in which dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) is dropped into heated water. The ice sublimates rapidly and forms a thick, white fog. Because it is colder and heavier than the air in the room, it does not rise, but flows low over the dance floor – exactly as you see in first dance photos.
After a few minutes the fog warms up and disappears without a trace. It leaves no moisture on the dance floor, no stains on the dress and no smell, and the room does not stay “smoky” for the rest of the evening. We work with the Chauvet Nimbus, a professional machine designed specifically for this effect.

Wedding offers labelled “heavy smoke” often turn out to be ordinary fluid-based fog machines cooled with ice. You can see the difference immediately – on the dance floor and in the photos:

How it works – step by step
- Booking the date – you tell us the date, the venue and your first dance song.
- Arrangements with the venue and the DJ – we agree the start cue, lighting and where the machine will stand.
- Set-up on site – the operator brings the machine and fresh dry ice and sets up next to the dance floor.
- First dance on clouds – the fog appears on the dance floor just before the first notes of the song.
- After the effect – the smoke disappears within minutes and the dance floor is ready for the party. You don’t have to worry about a thing.

How to prepare your first dance on clouds?
- Switch off the air conditioning and vents during the dance – moving air blows the fog away.
- Take care of the lighting – a dimmed room and spotlights make the clouds look their best.
- Let your photographer and videographer know – the best shots are taken from a low angle and in the first minutes of the effect.
- Rehearse your choreography – we plan it together with dance instructors so that everything goes 100% right.
- Ask guests to make room – children watch the effect best from the edge of the dance floor.

Heavy smoke for the first dance – frequently asked questions
Is heavy smoke safe for guests and children?
Yes. The fog is made from dry ice and water, it is odourless and non-irritating. The machine is operated by our technician, who makes sure nobody comes into contact with the dry ice.
Will heavy smoke set off the fire alarm?
No. Dry ice heavy smoke is not real smoke and does not trigger smoke detectors. The fog stays close to the floor and does not reach the ceiling.
How long does the dancing-on-clouds effect last?
The fog appears just before the dance and lasts for the whole song. After the first dance it disappears within a few minutes, without a trace.
Does heavy smoke stain the dance floor or the wedding dress?
No. Dry ice smoke leaves no residue, moisture or smell – neither on the floor nor on clothes.
What is the difference between heavy smoke and fluid-based fog?
Fluid-based fog rises quickly and fills the whole room with haze, and it can also set off detectors. Dry ice heavy smoke stays low over the dance floor and disappears after the dance – which is why it looks so good in photos.
How much does heavy smoke for the first dance cost?
